The Creation of PlatNuMe all began with me trying to fit into a box I was never created to be in. Through many life challenges such as divorce, job change, various dyes, and chemicals my hair had started to fall off into my hands. My nephew, who was also my barber and has since transitioned, informed me that it was time to start over. I had to cut all of my hair off. Through this experience I had an Awakening! A moment where I had realized that I had forgotten how to live myself. So then came the question “Am I going to do what everyone else says or I am I going to embrace this new journey of self acceptance?” With that being said I challenge you to join the revolution of Love, Unity, and Diversity!
